About Dr. Lisa Kearns
Who is Dr. Lisa Kearns?
Dr. Kearns is a board-certified physician in Internal Medicine. She is a practicing physician who has seen first-hand the stress and confusion that can happen when you or your loved ones are dealing with complex care needs. Dr. Kearns has practiced in both large academic medical centers and smaller community hospitals and understands the benefits and challenges associated with each of these places. Before starting Healthy Living PCP, Dr. Kearns was a training program director at a large medical center, so she has the heart of a teacher and willing to spend the time you need to understand your medical care. Dr. Kearns graduated with a BS/MD from Youngstown State University and NEOMED. She completed Internal Medicine residency at Summa Health system, where she served as chief resident. She also completed MERITS fellowship and Clinical Medical Ethics fellowship at the University of Chicago Medical Center. During her fellowship, she earned her MS in health services research at University of Chicago. Dr. Kearns has also published in medical journals. Through a culmination of these experiences, she has the knowledge and know-how to successfully get you the most bang for your buck and demystify the health care process.
